Return Policy

Return of Online Purchases

Maison Margiela commits itself to propose a return for any product bought on that would not fully provide satisfaction. Please note that products purchased on websites other than won’t be eligible for return. In case of a purchase on another website, we invite to refer to the wholesaler customer care.

The parcel has to be sent back to our warehouse within 20 days following the delivery date.
Our online staff, with the help of our Quality Support, will evaluate the product before proceeding with the return.

To proceed:

  1. Fill out the Return Form in order to get a Return Number.
  2. Make sure the product you return is in its original condition, not worn previously, contains all the related elements given at the time of purchase (box, accessories, labels, leaflets, etc…) including all tags still attached and is in its original packaging.
  3. Use the pre-paid UPS Return Label included in your order and leave the package at a UPS drop-off location. We will deduct a flat Return Fee of USD 6.00 (plus Sales Tax on this fee, where applicable) from your refund.

Due to merchandising restrictions, all returns must be shipped from the same country they were purchased from.

Once your package reaches the warehouse, please allow 3 to 7 business days (depending on peak times) for your return to be processed. If your return does not meet the conditions listed, the package will be sent back to you. When your return has been accepted, your refund will be issued and you will receive a confirmation email.

Return & Exchange of Boutique Purchases

Maison Margiela commits itself to propose exchange or store credit during the 2 weeks following the purchase date, for any product bought in Maison Margiela boutiques that would not fully provide satisfaction. Please note that products purchased from Department Stores or outside our free-standing stores will not be accepted. Please refer to their Customer Care departments in this case. All sale items are final sale.

If you are not fully satisfied with your in-store purchase, you can exchange it or ask for a store credit in any boutique in the same currency area, within 14 days from the purchase date.

The product must be returned with a valid proof of purchase, in a perfect shape, not worn previously, with all the related elements given during the purchase (box, accessories, tags, labels, leaflets, etc…) in its original packaging.
Our Sales Associates, with the help of our Quality Support, will evaluate the product before proceeding with the return.

Exchange of Online Purchases

If you wish to change the size and/or color of an item that you purchased, you can do so at no additional cost within 20 days of delivery date.

Fill out the Return Form, choose the “Exchange” option and select a replacement size and/or color from those available. We will then hold the item for you and as soon as we receive your return, we will ship it to the address from your original order. 

You will receive a Shipping Confirmation email when the package has been dispatched. You can exchange the size and/or color of an item one time only, but you can always return it by following the instructions in our .

Refund of Online Purchases

We usually accept returns within 3 business days of their arrival at our warehouse. During peak times it could take up to 7 business days. Once your return has been accepted, we will immediately request reimbursement and send you a confirmation email.

The time needed to process your refund may vary based on the used:

Credit Card: Our bank will reimburse you within 7 business days of the Return Acceptance Confirmation email. The time it takes to restore the credit back to your account depends on the Credit Card Issuer.[NOAREA ROW, AE, RU_EN]

PayPal: You will see the refund in your PayPal account within 24 hours of the Return Confirmation email.
