Distressed Assemblage Denim Jacket

Trucker jacket in cotton denim with visible distressing and torn patches across the front. The collar has been removed and the neckline opened into an exaggerated deep-V construction that interrupts the conventional shape of the garment. Button front with two chest flap pockets and contrast denim patch repairs. White ties at the front reference our blouse blanche. Our four stitches appear at the back; the opposite of a label.

Assemblage: Disparate materials, garments and references are brought together to form a new composition. Their original identities remain visible within the finished object. The resulting tension between elements becomes part of the design.
